Marnie Goldschlag
Director, [email protected]
Marnie is a REALTOR® and Co-Owner of NextHome Wine Country Premier in Sonoma County which is in Northern California’s beautiful Wine Country. Born and raised in Sonoma County, Marnie is dedicated to giving back to her community in various ways. She has been an award-winning agent every year since earning her real estate license in 2004. She and her business partner Teri work under the team’s name, The Wine Country Home Team.
NextHome’s vision of building a charitable non-profit to help members and their families following natural disasters is personal for Marnie as her own community has suffered from recent deadly and destructive wildfires. In 2017, Marnie watched her community unravel from a wildfire which destroyed 5% of the housing and displaced thousands of families in a community already grappling with a housing shortage pre-fire. In addition, she witnessed her REALTOR® community struggle – agents who were having the best year in real estate career lost focus as all their time and energy went into mental survival and the decision of re-building or not which became a full-time job for many, and it greatly affected their business and income. Raging fires hit Sonoma County again in 2019 and 2020. Watching your community suffer devastation and then re-build is an amazing vision, but people need help to re-group and re-build - both financially and emotionally.
Giving back to the community that helped raise Marnie is important to her. In addition to serving on the NextHome National Disaster Relief Foundation Board, she currently serves as a Board Member on the Family Justice Center Foundation and is serving a second term as Co-Chair of Sit. Stay. Sparkle. Canine Companions Northwest Regions annual fundraiser. Marnie was an active member of the Rotary Club of Santa Rosa until recently and served as President, Assistant District Governor, and Board member during her 17 years in Rotary.
In Marnie’s down time she enjoys spending time with her husband Eric, their daughter Jessica, and her soon-to-be son-in-law Colton. They enjoy spending time at local wineries, exploring new places while glamping and being at their home in Truckee.

Heidi Powell
Director, [email protected]
Heidi Powell has proven that her hard work and dedication to her clients rewards her with repeat and referral business. She is a consistent multi-million-dollar producer and an optimist who believes that “Pigs do indeed Fly!” Joining the real estate profession during the 2008 downturn—when many agents were fleeing—was a bold and somewhat risky career choice. Having worked in sales, marketing, and business development in the construction and architecture fields for many years, the move to real estate was a natural next step. She has been able to utilize her sales and negotiating skills at the table for her clients’ benefit.
Serving primarily the four-county area (Northern Allegheny, Butler, Armstrong, and Westmoreland), Heidi's clients describe her as a "Go Getter," a true and honest "tell-it-like-it-is" hardworking agent with the marketing talent and people skills to bring about a successful sale or purchase. She has a solid understanding of the foreclosure market and regularly works with investor clients who buy and sell "Flips" and "Income Properties." Investing occasionally herself provides her with perspective from all sides of the transaction. She also has an intimate understanding of riverfront property values and works with clients looking for waterfront homes. No matter the price range, size, or style, Heidi will guide you through the process with expert advice and an upbeat attitude in this constantly changing market. Heidi has a personal understanding of new construction brought on by the design and building of her home in the small riverfront community of Clinton, Armstrong County, where she and her husband, Jay, raised their two college-aged daughters, McClain and Autumn.
Heidi also believes in giving back to her community and is involved in her local PTO, the American Cancer Society, Restore Freeport Park, Freeport Softball, Volleyball, Golf, Football, and Band Boosters, and the Allegheny River Development Corp. Heidi has been appointed to the Armstrong County Committee on Blight, the South Buffalo Township Planning Commission, the Steering Committee for the Swartz Memorial Park, and is a charter member of the Freeport Business Network. Heidi is also the founder and President of the Dynamic Community Foundation, a 501(c)3 that supports local families in need. During the first three months of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, the organization distributed nearly 25,000 free meals to local families. #HumansOverHouses is not just a tagline—it is a commitment.
